gebs If you're a fan of Marrasmieli, look no further. Although a little brighter and more upbeat than their Finnish peers, this album is just as engaging. Favorite track: Flames in the Sky.

Deidre House It was an honor to share a stage with you. Hope we get to do it again if this pandemic ever ends :) Favorite track: Flames in the Sky.

x0riente Decidedly fuller and somewhat happier than its predecessor, "Thunder..." finds Dzö-nga a bit off the blackened path. I hear more Power and Folk Metal, female vox are quite present and the album feels a bit simpler overall. Amateurishly put: Where "Sachem..." had almost classical movements, "Thunder..." emphasises riffs & songs. Still, there's a lot to love here for your folksy metal heart.

The stillest night falls upon us here in a land of shifting grey and the waning moon is mourning a long-forgotten day This all we know, the only road As we disappear our voices are fading away Behind closed doors we are holding onto tales of our youth They are light for us in times that ignore what once was truth If this is all we are, our legacy Many years from now our stories will show them the way In the deepest hollow Where the river runs cold I hear the ancient tales From voices far away Listen to the echoes Of long-forgotten days From the great lakes of the Northland To the meadow, moor, and fen From the white fog in the autumn These stories live again From the shadows of the forest And the wind among the trees Hear this song of Hiawatha Warrior of centuries! In the silent valley The elder sits alone Haunts of nature, rush and reed Sweet he sings his song Of wayward souls and wilderness And carries me along From the rushing of the river To the rain-shower and the snow From the alders in the summer These legends live and grow Through the palisades of pine-trees And the melancholy glen From the lips of Nawadaha Hiawatha lives again! Searching blindly in the dark Where thorns and briars lie Over stone walls gray with moss Where only dead winds sigh Written on these weathered graves Words of broken heart Of the here and the hereafter Death has done us part By the thunder in the mountains O’er the savage ocean’s tide Through the bleakness of the winter These words will be your guide In the light and in the darkness Ere the eagle spreads his wings Hear this song of Hiawatha Warrior and king of kings!

Beauty was the mother But father, you are lies Eyes of cinder, heart of coal And rottenness inside Following the Western Wind Suffer through the ages I have come, avenging son Heaven waits for none! Vengeance for the mother Now father, you must die! Carry thunder, he the storm Earth and sky will burn! Following the Western Wind Suffer through the ages I have come, avenging son Heaven waits for none! Rise through the twilight Dance in the light of the day Ages of exile, pathways unknown Lost in a wasteland This darkness we roam I know you’ll find me out in the cold With your light to guide me We’ll find a way home

Fire in the westward skies Fierce the sun descends The war-path of the gods is now alight I am famine, bringing death Casting poison lies Plunging all into eternal night Sail to the land of grey Where the dark bird flies Gaze upon the pale moon Go to your demise Torches held high War-eagles cry Vengeance tonight Go now, my son The tyrant must die Blood on our hands Flames in the sky Slay the serpent, kill the snake The water running red Plunge your arrows deep into his heart Dead men’s shadows follow you Through the pitch-black lake Curs’ed this your journey from the start Sail to the land of grey Where the dark bird flies Gaze upon the pale moon Fire in your eyes Torches held high War-eagles cry Vengeance tonight Go now, my son The tyrant must die Blood on our hands Flames in the sky Torches held high War-eagles cry Vengeance tonight Go now, my son The tyrant must die Blood on our hands Flames in the sky

Behold, my child, what secrets lie Beyond the realm of what is seen There’s more to you than meets the eye A gift, a curse, and all between Mother I cry, for you’ve left me alone How could you lie to one of your own Lightning flash and hellish flame The devil’s claws reaching up Drag you back from whence they came Blood has stained wretched hands Your soul to burn, wishes of The hag who ever cursed your name For ages we have held the key In pages torn from ancient lore A heightened sense of what will be And what shall live forevermore Mother I cry, for you’ve wounded me so One day we’ll meet in the fire below Lighting flash and hellish flame The devil’s claws reaching up Drag you back from whence they came Blood has stained wretched hands Your soul to burn, wishes of The hag who ever cursed your name Mother, in dreams it's your voice that I hear Your life for mine, they’ll remember the seer Lightning flash and hellish flame The devil’s claws reaching up Drag you back from whence they came Blood has stained wretched hands Your soul to burn, wishes of The hag who ever cursed your name

Part I: The Famine Icy hollow, bitter vale Blackened river, frozen lake The darkness falls Death comes for us all I am the endless snow I am the ghastly cold Famine and the hunger grows Starve and die alone Wasting famine, fever’s burn Children cry and mothers wail The waiting wolves Death comes for us all I am the endless snow I am the ghastly cold Famine and the hunger grows Starve and die alone Part II: The Fever Journey afar, forest of grey Desolate cries fading away I will follow you, my love Through the storm we’ll find a way Hiawatha, hear my cry Echoes in the endless snow I cannot escape the dark Death is calling and I must go Calling are the raging falls Rushing water in the night Reaching out, gripping you Eyes of fire, hands of ice Look away now, my beloved Death approaches and deceives I return with strength and light Do you remember, still believe? Over earth and mountain fly By the the snowy wasted path Endless miles passing by Smoke and ash of heaven's wrath Would that I had perished for you! Were that I were lost instead! In the dark eyes of the mother See that love, my heart is dead Part III: The Pyre (Instrumental)
